Email Fail, the Poem

by Jay on June 22, 2009

This poem by James Greene inspired me to write my own ode to email failures:

I.
I have really important news
But no matter how hard I try
Each time I send you an email
All I get is an auto reply

II.
Though the email was sent to everyone
The audience for my answer was  small
With such sensitive information
I wish I hadn’t clicked Reply All

III.
When I emailed for customer service
I needed your help right away
I understand your company is busy
But it really shouldn’t take  four days

IV.
You asked for my help and I tried
In good faith to reply best I can
I’m sorry you haven’t heard back from me
But your blacklist blocked me as Spam

V.
Have you ever swung a hammer
And smashed it right onto your nail?
Then you have some idea how I feel
About every Email Fail
